After moving from the suburbs of coastal Virginia to nearly most metropolitan areas of the US, Jennifer Maravillas has found illumination in the layered narratives of urban landscapes. These mediations of surrealist cartography are her subconscious interpretations of the spaces. They take shape in varied viewpoints such as aerial maps, distant vistas, vernacular, and singular specimen studies. She is mapping the world.

Jennifer received her Bachelor's in design from the University of Louisville 2006, and Master's in mass communication from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2008. She lives much of her life in San Francisco.
