An excerpt from the First Amendment of the U.S. constitution encircles leaves of trees representing countries of origin for the highest rates of immigration to the U.S. and those included in the Muslim Ban. The plants surrounding the First Amendment are important to the practice of the world's major religions.

About:

This is the second in a series of unique hand-dyed bandanas depicting social movements and revolutions. Jennifer Maravillas began this series of scarves in reaction to the U.S. presidential election of 2016. Her aim is to create a reminder of the ideals we must uphold and the legacy of work in social progress handed down to us.
